Several common problems in CNC spinning

Material type, the radius of spinning roller, spinning path,the clearance between mold and roller affect the spinning forming ,how to control sheet to spin smoothly ,we can analyze these factors to find the problem .


① The common problems of stainless steel spinning products
1) Material thickness is less than 1 mm, it is easy to craze in CNC spinning
Solution: Choosing smaller radius of spinning roller to spin , it easy to form spinning rings in the sheet when sheet is spinning . Spinning rings can increase the strength of the material outer ring and reduce wrinkling probability, if the products appear rupture, the material has already reached the fatigue,adjusting spinning path can overcome the cracking.

2) the edge of curling is not smooth enough
Solution: spinning wheels  of  rolling edge is not on the right location of  spinning products, you need to adjust to the correct position.


3) Turning burr is very big.
Solution: stainless steel material is hard, turning tool wear faster make burr increase , using the rolling cutter, cutting burr will reduce a lot.


4) The surface of product is easily scratched.
Solution: The hardness of stainless steel material is high, if spinning roller is made by cr12 steel ,spinning roller is easily scratched, when you found this problem,you can polishing the surface of spinning roller . the better way is to choose high hardness material to make spinning roller .


5) This position is easy to craze .
Solution: every single spinning path ,the biggest  forcing and thinning in this position like the following picture show 
, when this position over tensile strength and fatigue limit ,it will craze .you should adjust part of spinning path to overcome .

②The common problems of aluminum spinning products 
1) The inner surface is not smooth enough

Solution: Inner surface is not smooth spinning parts mainly because the surface of mold polishing is not good enough or the clearance of mold and roller is big ,you can adjust the clearance or polish the mold .


 2)The outer surface is not smooth enough

Solution: Adjusting the clearance and spinning path to improve .


3) Aluminum surface scratched in spinning pieces of mass production

Solution: The melting point of aluminum is lower, mould and mass production for a long time cause temperature increasing , spinning roller will paste aluminum material, it need to knife wheel polishing.
